DAY # 1: Opening Ceremony of Medical Camp Clinic by the Local Government Chief Alloise Bryan, accompanied by four other chiefs and the County Medical Director with the Support Medical Team from Homa Bay County which included one gynecologist, two clinical officers, one lab technologist and a pharmacist. The ceremony was officially opened beginning with introduction of the hosting chiefs followed by the medical team headed by The County Medical Director. The Agape Local Community Coordinator Mr. Wicliffe Ochieng introduced The Local Agape Volunteers Group, followed by a brief history of The International Agape Global Volunteers as a Non-Profit Organization. The Opening Ceremony was then punctuated by a Word of Prayer from Elder Tabitha of Limini SDA Church, followed by entertaining Limini Church Choir, after which he introduced The International Agape Volunteers Founder, President and CEO, Dr. Johnson Kisero and the Co-founder Mrs. Jane Kisero. Dr. Kisero gave a brief address to the dignitaries, the County Medical Team, The Local Agape staff and the patients in attendance.

The event started by patients being triaged by the Agape staff and channeled to various medical providers for care. Patients who came fasting were given priority to have blood withdrawn for testing. Rest of the patients were seated under two large tents being entertained by the church choir and short sermons by Elder Tabitha of Limini Church. Everyone at the camp had a great lunch and the last patient was seen at around 5pm, before a break into a weekend rest.

DAYS # 2 & 3, Monday and Tuesday followed the same schedule of clinic. DAY # 4 was a Field Trip for Sight-Seeing visiting one of the Tourist Attractions known as “Kit-Mikayi” in Seme near The City of Kisumu. DAY # 5 was the last day of the Medical Mission Camp. DAY # 5 was our last Field Trip to The nearby Lake Victoria, The Largest Freshwater lake in the continent of Africa. DAY # 6 was Sabbath Rest in worship. DAY # 6 was Christmass and had a Farewell Party at the home of Dr. Kisero, before leaving on a return trip back to the US.

With a beginning Budget of US $ 10,000.00 the total Expenditure was US $ 10,350.00. A total of 548 patients taken care of, some of which were Medical Screening for cervical cancer, Breast cancer, Diabetes, Hypertension (High Blood Pressure ), Health Education for prevention, Immunizations and a holistic approach to health focusing on Body( Physical ), Mind ( Mental ) and Soul ( Spiritual ) was provided. A total of 74 patients requested for Prayers and Bible Study helps. All patients seen were scheduled for Follow-ups. The entire event was covered by one of the National Television Channels and radio stations and YouTube videos to be uploaded on our website.
